Event-driven Automatic PMs

Currently:

If you want to PM a user who has hit a milestone, you need to work AROUND the implementation in order to make it somewhat automated-

1) Create invisible rank that grants role if milestone is hit

2) Find users with that role daily

3) create list of usernames

4) paste comma delimited list into PM

5) use macro to PM users with your message

WHEW! I'm already tired.

Proposed:

Create an admin area where event-driven automatic PMs can be sent. When a user...

- gets a higher rank

- has a certain number of Solutions

- gets a certain number of kudos

He gets a personalized PM from the Moderation team, congratulating him on this feat!

Features

- You can set the criterion that will be monitored (maybe it monitors the Audit log?)

- Customize the message/time & date of delivery/sender

- Ability to create/manage/track/remove multiple auto-PM "jobs"

- Able to drill-down criteria to board/rank/role levels

- Use dynamic tags to personalize the PM (example: "Hi <<username>>! Thanks for the <<# solutions>> Solutions posted! Your new rank of <<current rank>> is well deserved!"

Hey LiquidSasquatch, building an event driven framework has been a long standing item on our product backlog. There are similar ideas on the Lithosphere related to this:http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/Suggest-Your-Ideas/Automatic-Private-Message-Upon-Event-Like-Rank-Change/idi-p/855#A2. We have plans to build an event driven system in the next couple of months that will enable building such features. I will keep the Lithosphereans updated as we make more progress.
