Add Location to list of search fields in User Reports

We require a valid location to make giving advice more pertinent - no point in giving someone warranty info good in the US if they're in the Ukraine, for example.  And so many people just fill it in with "work" "home" "earth" etc.  Periodically, I clean up the ones that I can find - being able to search on the location field in User Reports would be nice.

These are all cool ideas. We actually worked on improving our search functionality and searching for users based on location would be possible via user search. It makes sense to have the same functionality in user reports too.

Being from the same community, my opinion doesn't fully count as a second vote (so I won't kudo this as it might seem ballot box stuffing) , but I would agree this would be great to have, and I would extend the idea a bit further and say it would be great to have location carry over into user reporting.

If you are running a global business, and whether you have a single or multiple language community, I think there are times when it would be helpful to have some reporting about usage that could be sorted by location.   How many members do you have from the US?  the UK?  the Ukraine?  How about Uruguay?  (Sorry, I got stuck in the "U's" for some reason there)

There are a number of use cases - gauging the proportionate nature of participation by region, making some rough cuts on apportioning operational costs, or engaging in some interesting bouts of Academia (Paging Michael Wu...) to study  relative behavior patterns in community from various cultures / nations.

Alright, so I'm from a different company and will add my vote and another different use-case scenario for this type of functionality....

In addition to the online community, I run a user group program for our customers.  The two key guiding principles that I use in determining how to shape our user group program are:

(1) develop customer-ownership

(2) these events should be learning, not selling, events.

Having location in user profiles...combined with the ability to search for other users in an area...would be awesome and completely map to #1--customer ownership, because customers in a regional user group could search on their own for other community members/customers who are also in their region, invite/recruit them to join the meetings, etc.

To take to the next level would be to add more fields like "Products in use" or "Areas of Expertise" that users could fill out and let users search for other user attributes, not just location.  Then allow users to create their own private/public groups for their regional groups, industry groups, topical discussions, etc. and invite others to join their groups (like Facebook).
