The year is coming to a close, and with it we are also archiving our board for the Webinar: Jet Fuel for Your Community: Finding, Thanking, and Engaging Influencers. I would especially like to thank Sean O'Driscoll and Joe Cothrel for taking the time to answer follow-up questions here on the Lithosphere, and my thanks as well to everyone who participated in the discussion - there were some great exchanges! If you missed the action don't worry, you can read all about it in the Events category when you have a chance. And If you haven't seen it yet, the webinar is still available for viewing - I highly recommend it!
Happy New Year everyone, best wishes to you and yours in 2009!

Here's hoping everyone on the Lithosphere has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays this year!
It's a time of year for community, both on and off line; of enjoying time with friends and family near and far. So while I'll be spending my holidays away from the office, I know I'll more than likely be spending a fair bit of time here on the Lithosphere as well! In that spirit I was wondering if anyone is doing anything special in their communities this season? If so, post a note or a link in the comments here to let us know - maybe we'll drop on by to see what's going on. ![]()
And in the spirit of giving this year, I thought I'd leave you all with a list of Christmas gift suggestions from Oren Arnold:
To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.
Best Wishes and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Another day, another upgrade. ![]()
Point releases go so quickly, its easy to get blasé about them. But that's really a testament to the quiet efficiency and skill of our upgrade team here at Lithium. Merci beacoup to the fine folks behind the curtain - you make my life easy!
In addition to the back-end updates, we made a couple of minor UI changes to the header and CSS so you may see a few new touches here and there. All part of putting on a little holiday shine here on the Lithosphere.
Also, a quick reminder that the webinar board with Sean O'Driscoll will become read-only in 2009, so if you have any questions for Sean or Joe post them today!
Any end of the year holiday events going on in your communities? Let us know in the comments, we'd love to see them!
We've just completed our most recent webinar featuring Sean O'Driscoll on Jet Fuel for Your Community: Finding, Thanking, and Engaging Influencers! And again we are fortunate to have both Sean and Joe available afterwards to continue the Q&A session here in the community for everyone to join in.
So if you'd like to ask a question you had after viewing the webinar, or you just want to ask the experts about engaging your influencers and super users, this is your opportunity!
I'll be sure to post the link to the recorded session once it is available. But after 12/31 all content in the board will be marked read-only, so don't wait - ask now!
Just a quick update to let everyone know the event board for the Webinar: Successful Customer Communities - From Engagement to Measurement (10/29/2008) is now read-only. Our thanks to all who participated, and especially to Dave Evans and Joe Cothrel for coming back and answering questions last month! The webinar itself is still available for viewing, as is the discussion afterwards in our new Events category, but any questions should be posted in one of the main boards from now on.
But do not fear! Our next webinar is coming up soon on Wednesday, Dec 10th, featuring Sean O'Driscoll on Jet Fuel for Your Community: Finding, Thanking, and Engaging Influencers. Register today to see the event and ask questions live, or post your questions and get responses in the community once its done! Links in the community will be published after the webinar, so stay tuned!
