Where did all of (user)'s kudos come from?

I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to see where all of one particular user's kudos have come from?

It's easy to find a list of who kudo's a specific post, or who the top kudos givers in the community are, and so on.. but I've been unable to find a way to see a breakdown of one user's kudos in terms of who gave them to that user.

Hi Jon,

There are modules that you can add to the user profile for this. Specifically, there are five modules:

  • Popular Posts - This module shows the top kudoed messages for a user.
  • Recent Kudos Received - Shows the messages that a user has recently given kudos to.
  • Recent Kudos Given - Shows the user's messages that have most recently received kudos.
  • Recent Kudos From - Shows the users who have recently given kudos to the user's messages.
  • Recent Kudos To - Shows the users who are the authors of messages that the user has recently given kudos to.

All of these modules will include a "View All" link which should take you to the Kudos Activity page, which has tabs that will give you a full breakdown of each of these categories.

You can use any or all of these modules. Generally, with the two column layout like you have in your community, the ones specific to messages look best in the left column, while the ones that list users are better suited for the right.

Thanks Eric,

I've found the modules, that is indeed very helpful.

Is it possible to limit who can view these modules by permissions?

Currently, no. The idea behind these -- along with being useful tools for moderators -- is to help users find good content. For instance, if I really liked a thread of yours, I could find other popular threads that you posted. Similarly, if I like a post that you gave kudos to, chances are good that I'll like other posts that you kudoed as well.

It would be rather painstaking, but users could click through someone's messages and derive all of this information anyhow.

I'm glad you asked this.  I was rummaging around a couple of days ago looking for this myself!

Is there a reason that it isn't an option in user reports?

Thanks - Jane

it wasn't purposefully excluded, as far as I know. Sounds like a good suggestion for Ideas!
