Growing Successful Communities
There are some very good points there, BrianO--thanks for posting them! 
I must be on a good track since I already had all of the "do" goals accomplished, and there hasn't been an incident (in the present community) yet where the "don'ts" could be broken.
This usually isn't a good thing, but political topics tend to turn ugly pretty quickly (depending on the exact topic), so a lot of times the topics break another rule, which is always easy to leave as a reason for moderator action.
